Are You There, God?
Are you there, God? It's me, Mark… Zuckerburg
I just wanted to take a few minutes here to thank you, because well, it's been quite an eventful few years and I haven't had the opportunity to reach out, so I figured why not now.
I guess the first thing I want to thank you for is The Internet, for without that, well, I wouldn't get the opportunity to play you, ha ha
Since you created The Internet, it has pretty much replaced you as the all knowing and all powerful one
Have to imagine that has to be rough, to watch one of your children catch all the accolades while you stand on the sideline all but forgotten
That must have been similar to what you experienced when created Jesus, hard to know where you feeling at that time, maybe a tug of war between pride and jealously, I must imagine, but anyways
I don't want to just thank you for The Internet, because there's more to life than that, right? Of course there isn't
I really want to thank you for Covid. Oh my goodness, talk about great timing. Your release of Covid into the Metaverse, I mean into the Universe, was really a game changer for me.
I mean, look, people were already dependent on your second son, The Internet, for their day to day existence, but Covid really sealed the deal
You know, there's a rumor floating around out there that The Internet actually created Covid, so that it could be the sole Lord and Savior of the world
But I don't want to get into a little father son thing here, anyways, whoever created Covid, be it you, he, she, they, whatever, Covid has made my creation, about as valuable as food and water, playing second fiddle only to oxygen, but we're working on that, because we don't want to be second fiddle to anything one
We don't want to be second fiddle to anything or anyone
We don't want to be second fiddle to anything or anyone
We don't want to be second fiddle to anything or anyone
Anything or anyone
Fiddle
I sure hope you were listening, if not, my voice recognition software has captured all of this so it will be available on The Internet, assuming you two still have a good enough relationship where The Internet will share that with you
But hey, sorry to bring that offspring rivalry thing up again, but hey, what can I say, I'm good at creating problems that don't exist so that I and I alone can solve them
You ought to try it sometime, 'cause it sure feels great to be needed

Shapiro’s storytelling focuses on themes of distorted thinking, the idea of what it means to be normal, and the question of
how to accept hard truths we may not be ready to accept. Shapiro has been called a keen observer in his songwriting capacity with a freewheeling creativity that sparkles with skewed humor. With a powerful, yet intimate voice, Shapiro speaks to the hyperbolic times we live in....more
